My Approach
My therapeutic style is warm, natural, and present. I will hold space for you to express your authentic self, and I will strive to show up authentically too. Through our therapeutic connection, we will co-create a secure place for you to explore your relationship with yourself and others.
Sessions with me flow in and out of a conversational or structured approach, depending on your current goals. My practice is consent-oriented and trauma-informed, which will guide the content and pace of sessions. I primarily draw from my training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).* Through this lens, I will help you gain insight into the deeper roots of symptoms and guide you in acknowledging and caring for the parts of you that are in need of support. In our work together, I will also help you to develop a greater sense of connection between your emotions and your body.
I believe all relationships can benefit from conscious efforts to unpack societal scripts, and that through this work, we can access more authentic and fulfilling connections. This perspective has informed my work with partnered and non-partnered individuals who are exploring polyamory and non-monogamy.
I understand people within their broader societal contexts, and I aim to provide therapy through an anti-oppressive framework. My priority is to create a safe and nurturing space for you to explore your insights, desires, strengths, and challenges.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and have experience in helping individuals through the coming out process. I have also supported transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming adults in navigating transition.
